"CURRENT ISSUES IN TREATMENT AND DIAGNOSIS IN UROLOGY, NEPHROLOGY, ANDROLOGY, ONCOLOGY, AND SEXOLOGY"

Urological diseases are among the most common health issues in modern medicine, sparking ongoing discussions and extensive scientific research. Unfavorable environmental factors, chronic stress, dietary habits, physical inactivity, and insufficient awareness of sexually transmitted infection prevention are just a few of the factors contributing to the negative trends in urinary system pathologies.

The most widespread urological conditions in Ukraine and worldwide include urinary tract infections, urolithiasis, and prostate diseases, which can lead to chronic kidney failure and significantly impact both quality and longevity of life.

To discuss current issues in modern uro-nephrology, oncology, andrology, and sexology, and to explore ways to improve diagnostic and treatment methods, the professional community gathered on October 3, 2025, for a scientific-practical conference in the hospitable resort city of Truskavets. Over two days, leading specialists, researchers, and practicing physicians enhanced their knowledge, exchanged clinical experience, and discussed ways to implement modern global standards for diagnostics and healthcare delivery.

The conference atmosphere was enriched with insightful lectures, engaging masterclasses, and professional discussions. One of the key topics in the urology segment was support for patients with nephrolithiasis. The high social significance of this condition was emphasized, noting that more than half of patients with such disorders report a serious decline in quality of life and substantial disruption of daily functioning. Speakers focused in detail on modern strategies to prevent stone formation and effective ways to avoid complications and recurrence.

Assoc. Prof. Mykola Dmytrovych Kvach, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Chief Physician of the Right-Bank Branch of Harmony of Health, and Head of the Center for Diagnosis and Modern Treatment of Urolithiasis, delivered a lecture on current perspectives on urolithiasis. He highlighted etiological factors and examined the pathogenesis of kidney stone disease in depth. He emphasized the important role of dietary management as a key risk factor for stone formation. The speaker also highlighted preventive measures and shared his own experience using the NOKAMEN® phyto-mineral complex in patients predisposed to stone formation. Particular emphasis was placed on NOKAMEN®’s balanced natural composition, whose active ingredients comprehensively support the restoration of the physiological state of the urinary system.
