England plans to become the first country in the world to defeat HIV

To defeat HIV by 2030, England has bet on the modern antiretroviral therapy and treatment coverage. After signing a number of agreements, the authorities want to "put an end to regional differences" and open access to new medicines throughout the country, The Guardian reports.

Patients with HIV will have access to long-acting injectables (cabotegravir + rilpivirine), and people with drug-resistant infections will be able to take fostemsavir. The same conditions will be provided to patients from all regions of the country.
