The scientists modeled the change in the number of people with type 2 diabetes and their insulin requirements from 2018 to 2030. Data were taken from 221 countries and 14 studies from different countries. This allowed us to obtain statistics for 60% of diabetics in the world.

Improper diet, obesity and sedentary life - all this warms up the global epidemic of diabetes. If in 2018 type 2 diabetes is diagnosed in 406 million people, then in 2030 this figure will increase to 511 million. Most of the increased incidence will be in China, India and the United States. Insulin consumption can increase by 20% with a maximum increase in Asia. Consequently, it is necessary to increase the production of insulin. Even now, manufacturers can not provide all those in need of insulin, so it is necessary for the production to actively involve Asia and Africa.
