Scientists have managed to grow an artificial brain from skin

The experiment was conducted at Cambridge University under the guidance of a neuroscientist Madeline Lancaster. According to the "Health in Russia and the world" from early childhood the researcher was fascinated by science and for a long time she had a dream to create an artificial copy of the human brain in a laboratory.

The human brain is a very complex network. It has more than a hundred billion neurons, connected by synapses. To create an artificial brain there were used stem cells obtained from skin samples. They were treated with vitamins, nutrients, and then placed in a biogel.

The created brain is not able to form sensations and feelings. However, it is suitable for the study of various diseases, such as schizophrenia and autism. Recall: earlier The Bloomberg School of Public Health has developed small cellular balls, which act as mini-brain. These balls even form structures and emit electrical signals as a real brain.
