Scorpion venom will be used to treat heart attacks

Scorpion venom consists of a complex mixture of biologically active molecules, including neurotoxins, vasodilators and antimicrobial compounds. Of course, the poison hurts, but if you take the individual components - provided that they are isolated, cleaned and used in the appropriate dose, such components can give a person clear health benefits.

Scientists have found that scorpion venom contains a peptide that has a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system. This compound is considered promising and is the tripeptide CRP (Lys-Pro-Pro), which is part of a larger molecule isolated from scorpion venom. The study has shown that CRC causes vasodilation and a decrease in blood pressure in hypertensive rats. Scientists have also tested CRC for the interaction with heart muscle cells in vitro. As it turned out, this peptide is able to regulate the activity of proteins associated with cell death, muscle contraction and energy synthesis, and is also able to protect myocardial tissue from damage due to lack of oxygen.
